To reiterate,
          Csus 2 is just a C with an open d string which you hammer on the 2nd fret(* is the 
hammer on sign).
          Csus 4 is the same as a C except the d string is played on the 3rd fret.
          Cmaj9 comes up later and it's like a C except the middle note is on the a string not d
